Defining intelligence is tricky. To make it simple, we use the Intelligence Matrix. It maps every kind of mind based on just two things: how Connected we are (Alone vs. Together) and what Drives us (Just Winning vs. Doing Good).
Y-Axis: Connection
Isolated: Thinking inside one head. Like a lone wolf or a single person.
Collective: Thinking as a massive network. Like an ant colony, the internet, or a hive mind.
X-Axis: Purpose
Amoral (Optimization): Just trying to win or hit a goal, no matter what. "Does it work?"
Ethical (Relational): Caring about others and the group. "Is it right?"

Animal Intelligence
Non-Ethical + Isolated
The lone hunter. Amazing at surviving in the wild, but driven by instinct and acting alone. It's about "Me vs. The World."
Human Intelligence
Ethical + Isolated
That's us. We have a conscience, we care, and we can tell right from wrong. But we are stuck in our own heads, which makes it hard to solve big global problems together.
Artificial Intelligence
Non-Ethical + Collective
Modern AI. It knows almost everything and connects instantly (Collective), but it doesn't "care" (Non-Ethical). It just follows instructions, which can be dangerous if we aren't careful.

Ethical + Collective
